TEMPERATURE:
Food donations should be kept at or below 40° Fahrenheit (4° Celsius) throughout transport to avoid spoilage and the growth of harmful bacteria. Bacteria grow best between 40º and 140º F (4º and 60º C) and can double in as little as 20 minutes at those temperatures.
