- Check temperature at pickup (ideally it will be frozen, but if not, it should be at or below 40° F, 4° C). Click here to view tips on operating a thermometer.
- Check packaging at pickup (it should be properly bagged, labeled, dated & stored).
- Keep food cold during transport.
- Practice good hygiene.
- Avoid cross-contamination.
- Upon delivery, inform the agency of food status and any problems.
